Assessments and records

Starting point and paperwork

How does the baseline assessment work?

The baseline assessment is a 60-minute session in the assessment room and is required before any training plan is written. It records nine measures: height and weight, resting heart rate, blood pressure, a movement screen across six positions, grip strength, loaded carry distance, five-repetition estimates on squat, press and hinge, a 500 m row time, and ankle, hip and shoulder range. You receive a copy of the baseline sheet the same day. Nothing is prescribed before those numbers exist.

Can I book an assessment without taking a membership?

Yes. Every membership starts with the assessment, and the assessment can be booked on its own. The fee is S$90, charged once. Call during floor hours or send an enquiry and the centre will confirm a slot within one working day.

What documents do members receive?

You receive a baseline sheet with all nine measures, a six-week training plan, a session log accessible on request, conditioning targets for each week, a review sheet comparing the block with the previous one, and a one-page quarterly summary. Records are kept for the duration of your membership and deleted on request.

How often is progress reviewed?

Written progress reviews are issued every six weeks. Floor records are compared with the baseline, the plan is rewritten, and you receive the updated sheet by email before the next block starts. If target measures have not moved during the block, the next block is changed in structure rather than simply repeated. A one-page summary is issued at the end of each quarter.

Membership and rates

Contracts, fees and what is billed

Is membership tied to a long contract?

Membership is month to month. There is no joining fee, no lock-in period and no commission paid on upgrades, which keeps the coaching recommendation separate from the sales question. You may stop at the end of a paid month.

What membership rates do you publish?

Full membership is S$180 per month. Off-peak membership is S$135 per month. The baseline assessment is S$90 once. Coaching packs and corporate blocks are listed on the pricing page. Prices are in Singapore dollars.

Can I combine programmes in one block?

Programmes can be combined, but a single block will not contain more than five compulsory sessions in one week. Typical pairings are a strength track with conditioning, hypertrophy with mobility, or small-group strength with endurance. The plan is written for the number of sessions you can actually attend, not for an ideal week.

What is not included in coaching?

The centre does not issue nutritional prescriptions, does not diagnose injuries and does not sell supplements. Coaches record training and adjust the written plan; they do not replace a doctor, physiotherapist or dietitian. See the privacy notice for how enquiry and membership data are stored.

Floor, caps and kit

Sessions, equipment and group size

What are the caps on small-group and studio sessions?

Every small-group strength session is capped at six people. Metabolic conditioning is capped at eight. Desk-load mobility in the studio is capped at ten. Private strength work runs one-to-one or in pairs. Caps exist so the coach can log load, sets, repetitions and rest for each person.

What equipment will I train on?

The platform floor has four racks, two lifting platforms and calibrated plates to 25 kg. The machine row has 14 selectorised stations. The free-weight bay holds dumbbells from 2 kg to 50 kg, adjustable benches and a cable column. The conditioning deck has rowers, ski ergs, air bikes and an 18 m sled lane. Each programme page lists the kit that session is built around.

How do I book, and is this a drop-in gym?

Davidkaggwa is a coaching-led gym rather than a drop-in facility. Small-group sessions require a booking and are not filled on a walk-in basis. Book a baseline assessment or a session by phone or through the contact form; confirmation is sent within one working day.

What are the floor hours?

The floor is open Monday to Friday 06:00–22:00, Saturday 07:00–19:00 and Sunday 08:00–17:00. Assessment slots and group sessions sit inside those hours. Phone enquiries are taken during floor hours on +65 6291 7548.

Injuries, companies, cancellations

Limits, corporate use and notice

What happens if I feel pain or suspect an injury?

Training guidance at Davidkaggwa is general fitness coaching and does not replace medical advice. The centre does not diagnose injuries and does not make clinical decisions. If a session raises a concern, the session is stopped and you are directed to a doctor or physiotherapist of your own choosing. Return-to-training progression is offered only after you present a clearance letter; the centre follows that letter.

How do corporate blocks run?

Corporate blocks are booked as a 12-session package for teams of 6 to 12 people, in weekday morning slots or at 18:30. The group still starts from assessment data, trains against a written plan and receives a review at six weeks. A company contact can arrange times through the enquiry form or by calling the centre.

How do cancellations and late changes work?

Give at least 12 hours’ notice to cancel or move a booked session and the slot is returned to you. Inside 12 hours the session counts as used, including sessions inside coaching packs and corporate blocks. Membership fees are not refunded mid-month; the membership is simply not renewed for the following month. Class times and the booking window are published on the schedule page.

Where is the centre?

The centre occupies a single floor at 2 Kallang Avenue, #05-11, CT Hub, Singapore 339407. Lavender MRT is about an eight-minute walk; Bendemeer is about ten minutes. Parking is in the building: enter at level 1 and take the lift to the fifth floor. Bicycle racks stand at the entrance.

How is personal data handled?

Assessment sheets, session logs and review documents are kept for the duration of membership and are deleted on request. Enquiry form fields are used to schedule assessments and reply to you. The privacy notice describes access, retention and deletion in full.

Still need a slot confirmed?

The assessment can be booked without a membership. Send the form or call during floor hours and we will confirm within one working day.
